Georgios Tselentis

Georgios Tselentis works as scientific project officer in the European Commission with the Unit “New Infrastructure Paradigms & Experimental Facilities”. He is currently responsible for a portfolio of projects mainly related with the Future Internet Research and Experimentation (FIRE) initiative. He has been actively involved in the consultation and drafting of the European Commission’s Action Plan for the deployment of IPv6 in Europe. Before joining his current unit he worked as scientific project officer in many different areas (collaborative working and designing, location based services, robotics) and in support measures for the mobility of young European researchers known as Marie Curie actions.Before joining the European Commission he worked as researcher and project coordinator in industry and academia in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis & Management and Fault Detection in Industrial Systems. He holds a Ph.D. in quality control of industrial systems, a postgraduate in automation control and fault diagnosis and a production and management engineering degree from the Technical University of Crete.
